CalcKit v8.2.0
July 5, 2026
CalcKit 8.2 is here. This release introduces the brand-new Time Calculator to the Toolbox, alongside stability improvements and bug fixes on Android and Web.
What's new?
⏱️ Time Calculator
The Time Calculator is a full expression-based tool for time math. Not a date-difference picker, but a genuine calculator that lets you chain additions, subtractions, multiplications, and divisions across any mix of time units, exactly the way you'd use CalcKit's other calculators with numbers.
- Mix and match units freely: year, month, week, day, hour, minute, second, and millisecond can all appear in a single expression. Units can even be chained implicitly without typing a
+between them (e.g.,2 hour 15 min). - Smart math that respects real-world time logic: Time ± Time produces a normalized time result; Time multiplied or divided by a plain number scales the duration up or down; Time ÷ Time gives a ratio. Nonsensical operations (like squaring a duration) are automatically blocked so you can't get garbage results.
- Percentage support: use a percentage as a scalar fraction or as a percentage of a running total.
- One-tap unit breakdown: tap the result to open a popup showing that same duration converted into all 8 supported units at once (years down to milliseconds). A small conversion icon on the result hints that it's tappable.
- Long-press the result to copy it straight to the clipboard.
- Full calculation history: the last 50 entries are saved; tap any of them to restore and reuse the expression.
- State is fully preserved even if the app is closed mid-calculation.
- Can be pinned as a home-screen shortcut like the app's other tools.
🔧 Bug Fixes & Improvements
- Toolbox scroll position: Fixed the Toolbox home screen jumping back to the top when returning from a tool. Your position is now correctly restored.
- Library updates (Android & Web): Updated underlying libraries for improved reliability.
- Minor bug fixes (Android & Web): Fixed several minor bugs and visual glitches.
Flight connections, overlapping shifts, project countdowns. It's the kind of time math that comes up more than you'd expect, and somehow never has a proper calculator behind it. Now it does. CalcKit v8.2.0 is available now on the Play Store.
